For 25 years, the MBA programme at THM Business School has helped working professionals advance their careers, strengthen their management skills, and connect academic knowledge with real-world business challenges. With nearly 400 graduates, the programme has built a lasting legacy of professional development, lifelong learning, and a strong alumni community.
The achievements of its graduates are a particularly rewarding part of this story. Many have gone on to impressive careers in the private sector, taking on senior positions and leadership responsibilities. Others have pursued academic careers, with some eventually becoming professors themselves. Their professional journeys demonstrate the lasting value of combining practical experience with postgraduate education.
The 2024 intake was the final cohort to begin the standalone MBA programme at the Friedberg campus. Its students are now approaching the finish line: their master's theses have been submitted, and they will celebrate their graduation on 5 February 2027 at a formal ceremony at Johannisberg in Bad Nauheim, where they will receive their certificates and traditional master's caps. This milestone marks the conclusion of an important chapter in the programme's history.
However, the MBA legacy continues in a new form: On the one hand, students on THM's consecutive master's programme in Digital & International Marketing can obtain an additional qualification through a double-degree arrangement with IAE Montpellier, the business school of the Université de Montpellier. The partnership offers the opportunity to earn the additional MBA in Digital Business & Innovation, combining digital marketing expertise with a broader international business perspective. And on the other hand, the community remains active through its MBA alumni association. Networking, professional exchange, and events that bring together former classmates, experts, and academic colleagues continue to keep the programme's spirit alive.

Unlocking the Future of Finance: MBA Alumni Experience 2026
The latest example was the two-day MBA Alumni Experience, held on 16–17 October 2026 under the theme “Unlocking the Future of Finance – Digital Euro, Innovation, Trust, Connection.” Bringing together finance, innovation, and digital transformation, the event combined expert insights and exclusive institutional visits with opportunities to reconnect and build new professional relationships.
Friday's programme began with a visit to Deutsche Börse in Frankfurt. Guided by Edda Vogt, participants explored the Stock Exchange and Trading Hall and gained valuable insights into capital markets. The day concluded with a networking dinner, giving alumni an opportunity to catch up with former classmates and exchange experiences across industries and career stages.
On Saturday, the programme continued with expert sessions featuring Prof. Dr. Christoph Gallus from THM, Stefan Grasmann, and Tamara Ferreira Schmidt, Executive Director of the Digital Euro Association. Discussions addressed a range of issues shaping the future of finance, from market volatility and financial resilience to cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, geopolitics, and the Digital Euro.
Another highlight was a guided tour of the European Central Bank, offering participants a closer look at one of Europe's most important financial institutions. The day concluded with dinner alongside fellow alumni and speakers, extending the conversations in a relaxed setting and creating further opportunities to establish meaningful connections.
The event reflected what makes the MBA alumni community distinctive: a shared commitment to learning, an interest in emerging developments, and relationships that continue long after graduation. By bringing together professionals from different backgrounds and career stages, the network creates space for new ideas, mutual support, and collaboration between academia and business.
Although the standalone MBA programme in Friedberg has reached the end of its admissions journey, its impact continues through its graduates, the alumni association, and new international study opportunities. After 25 years and about 400 graduates, the MBA remains an important part of THM Business School's story – and its community continues to look ahead.
